On Wednesday, March 15, the Penn State Small Business Development Center will celebrate SBDC Day, a nationally recognized commemoration of America's Small Business Development Centers' impact on the success of our nation's small businesses. 

Penn State’s I-Corps short course is accepting applications for its March cohort. Applications are due by March 1. The no-cost program helps researchers test a startup idea through customer discovery and lean startup methodology.

Through his software startup Lightscline, Penn State industrial engineering doctoral candidate and Diefenderfer Graduate Fellow in Entrepreneurship Ankur Verma is developing a patent-pending AI-based software that will significantly reduce the amount of data collected by devices such as drones and satellites.

Local businesses are encouraged to apply for the Craft It, Pitch It, Win It competition for a chance to win up to $4,000 for their marketing budget.

The Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State recently received a $53,000 grant from the County of Berks. Working with Furniture Soup, Berks LaunchBox will use most of the funding to revamp the coworking space with new desks, storage and sound dampening, and to add a small meeting space for entrepreneurs to work collaboratively, as well as other purposes.
